Project 01 · Documentary
Growing Up.
About the project
Over five years, we follow a teenage boxer growing up and dreaming of winning the Polish junior title.
It is an observational film rooted in the tradition of Polish documentary cinema. What matters most is the person and the process he goes through. The ring becomes a metaphor for a fight that also goes on outside sport: for independence, for his own identity and for the courage to live his youth on his own terms.
An intimate observation of coming of age: between dreams, mental and physical pain and short moments of happiness. A film about a fight that begins far from the ring, at a very young age.
